Kyle Acheson

Kyle Acheson (Performer (Nicholas), Music Director, Head Writer - Music & Lyrics, Co-Creator)

Kyle is a composer, lyricist, and actor from Cincinnati, OH. He serves as music director for Thicket & Thistle. His work has appeared at Ars Nova, Playwrights Horizons, and at the NY Int’l Fringe Festival. He earned a BFA from the Webster Conservatory of Theatre Arts, trained at Double-Edge Theatre in Ashfield, MA and with the San Francisco Mime Troupe. Sam De Roest

Sam De Roest (Performer (Brian), Head Book Writer, Writer - Music & Lyrics, Co-Creator)

Sam is an actor, improviser, and playwright. His recent acting/writing credits include What’s Your Wish?, Crusical! The Murder Mystery Musical, and The Waterman. Sam won “Best Actor” at Theatre Now New York’s Sound Bites 10-Minute Musical Festival for his performance in What’s Your Wish? He graduated from Portland Actors Conservatory and the Curious Comedy Training Center in Portland, OR. Sam is a founding member of Thicket & Thistle and the improv duo RaeRoest.
 


Joshua Stenseth

Joshua Stenseth (Performer (Donald, Old Vern, Rufus), Co-Creator)

Joshua is an actor, improviser, and especially gifted napper. He is a graduate of Minnesota State University in Moorhead, The UCB Theater in NY, and The Curious Comedy Training Center in Portland, OR. He has worked in many regional theaters, on television, web, and in film. NY credits include Allegro, Scarlet, and Zombie Strippers. Joshua is a company member of Thicket & Thistle and tries very hard to fill his role as the resident 3-point shooter.



Juliana Wheeler

Juliana Wheeler (The Enchantress/Diana)

Juliana is an actress, singer, musician, and writer from Ashland, OR. A graduate of Portland Actors Conservatory, she recently moved to NYC to join Thicket & Thistle. Since graduating, she has performed in musicals, Shakespeare, sketch comedy, new works festivals, television, film, and more. Last summer, she spent a month at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, playing the titular character in The Alien Chicken Remembers Galatea. She's excited to be part of this magical team!



Lindsay Zaroogian

Lindsay Zaroogian (The Fairy/McKenzie)

Lindsay is a graduate of the BFA musical theatre program at SUNY Fredonia. Credits include: Cowgirls (Rita), Let’s Misbehave: The Music and Lyrics of Cole Porter (Alice), Rent (Mimi), Fiddler on the Roof (Tzeitel), Marvelous Wonderettes (Missy), I Love You Because (Diana). Jonathan Eric Foster (Co-Creator, Director)

Jonathan is originally from Houston, Texas. Before creating Thicket & Thistle, Jonathan was a member of The Flea Theatre and The Drilling Company. Favorite NY productions include: The Waterman (Ars Nova), Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night (Drilling Company), and The Honest Whore (The Flea). Jonathan has been proud to direct What’s Your Wish? from its first iteration as a ten minute musical, through Fringe Festival, Chekhov Festival, Access Theatre, and the West End Theatre!


Sarah George (Co-Creator, Producer, Props Designer)

Sarah has produced all of Thicket & Thistle's shows since 2015 & serves as the group's managing director. She also designed the props and set pieces for What’s Your Wish? (FringeNYC, Anton Chekhov Festival, Access Theater, props- Theatre Now New York), The Waterman: A Forgotten Cascadian Myth (Ars Nova's ANT Fest), and Thicket & Thistle's newest show, Cruisical! The Murder Mystery Musical (Loading Dock, New Light Theater Project, Access Theater).
 


Corley Pillsbury (Co-Creator, Music, and Lyrics)

Corley is a singer, songwriter, and actor from Austin, TX. She is a founding member of Thicket & Thistle and has two albums of original music: Underworld (2013) and Simple Songs (2010), in addition to numerous theatre credits in Texas, New York, and California. Corley is a graduate of the Webster Conservatory and currently resides in Sacramento, CA.
 


Erin Cohen (Stage Manager)

Erin is happy to be returning to NYMF, this time with the amazing What's Your Wish? team. She is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University's School of Theatre. She has a BFA in Theatre - Stage Management. Selected credits include Generation Me (NYMF 2017), The Video Games (Off Broadway at the Elektra Theatre), Forest Boy (NYMF 2016), The Secret Garden (Friends in Theatre Company), and The Grand Paradise (Third Rail Projects).

Kate is a trans*everything lighting designer.
