Scott Pyne previously served as the Director of Development of the Festival at NYMF from 2010 to 2013. Bringing 17 years of experience as a non-profit arts administrator and fundraiser, he has worked at several of New York City's most prominent theater organizations including TheaterWorksUSA, Vineyard Theater, and Manhattan Theatre Club. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Theatre Arts Management from Ithaca College.
West Hyler is a proud alumni writer and director of the New York Musical Festival, where Georama, which he co-wrote with Matt Schatz and Jack Herrick, won 5 NYMF awards for excellence. Before NYMF he was primarily a freelance theatrical director and his recent productions include Cirque Du Soleil Paramour (Broadway), iLuminate (World Tour), Air Play (New Victory Theater, World Tour), H20 (59E59), Big Apple Circus (Lincoln Center, Nat'l Tour), Panda! (Beijing State Theater, Palazzo Hotel and Casino), Avenue Q (State Theater of Bulgaria), Chandelier (Celebrity Cruise Lines) Djembe! The Show (Chicago Apollo Theater), and Georama (St Louis Rep, New York Musical Festival). He's also directed at Ars Nova, Playhouse Square Cleveland, York Theater Company, Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival, The Colony Theater, and was the associate director of Jersey Boys (Broadway and Worldwide) and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Broadway). West's playwriting work includes Paramour, Georama, Big Apple Circus; Legendarium and Metamorphosis, Djembe! The Show, Panda!, Chandelier, A Jake and a Tom (Winner- Hollywood Family Film Festival), and the novel Circus of the Gods.
George returns to NYMF as the General Manager after a long association with the festival. After studying Musical Theatre performance in college, George moved to New York and was introduced to the festival as a NYMFtern. Following his internship, he was hired part-time as the Operations and General Management Associate for the following 3 seasons. After which, George briefly returned home to Australia to pursue a number of producing projects. During his time there, George produced a number of musicals, cabarets and events around the country for local and international artists. His Australian production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels garnered immense critical acclaim and multiple award-wins and nominations, including Australia’s prestigious Helpmann award. George once again returned to New York and found himself involved with several productions in the New York Musical Festival, and is excited to once again be a part of the festival family.
