The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) will honor Tony and Grammy Award-winning composer and lyricist Duncan Sheik, casting director Tara Rubin and former NYMF board member and treasurer Frank Troutman at its 2016 Gala November 13 at the Edison Ballroom.
Hosted by Mo Rocca, the evening will begin at 6 PM with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by dinner at 7:15 PM and performances at 8:15 PM.
The honorees will be celebrated with performances by Broadway stars and NYMF alumni in an evening directed by David Alpert, with musical direction by David Dabbon. Performers and presenters will be announced at a later date.
“Duncan, Tara and Frank have made innumerable and extraordinary contributions to the theatre,” said NYMF executive director and producer Dan Markley. “We are thrilled to be honoring them at our Gala this November, while also celebrating everyone who helped make our 2016 Festival a success.”
New York Musical Festival (NYMF) nurtures “the creation, production, and public presentation of stylistically, thematically, and culturally diverse new musicals to ensure the future vitality of musical theater.” The festival is entering its 14th year.
