When Rose and Harry meet on a date, they uncover something unexpected: they’re both serial killers. This unconventional love story is a darkly comedic tale of friendship, road trips and life on the edge.  Oh… and a whole lot of murder. Accompanied by a highly original, soulful folk score, BURIED demonstrates how love is unique to everyone and illuminates the darkness in us all.


Runtime: 90 minutes with no intermission.

Cordelia O’Driscoll

Cordelia O’Driscoll (Music & Lyrics)

Cordelia graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2017, having been heavily involved in Sheffield’s theatre and music scenes during her degree. Cordelia has both produced and performed in many shows alongside honing her skills as a singer-songwriter, garnering over 200,000 plays online. Despite BURIED being Cordelia’s first musical theatre score, the response it has already received from both critics and audiences alike speaks for itself, with The Stage calling the songs ‘some of the best you will possibly hear in Edinburgh’. She won the ‘Cameron Mackintosh Award’ at the 2018 Sunday Times National Student Drama Festival for BURIED’s original score, and has had her new writing premiered at Adam Lenson’s ‘Signals’ in Covent Garden. She has collaborated with Action to the Word on their new Oedipus adaptation ‘The Theban Motherf*cker’, and with the National Trust on their ‘Women and Power’ audio exhibition, alongside writing a new show with Tom Williams that will premiere at The Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester this July before a month long run at Underbelly at 2019’s Edinburgh Fringe.

Tom Williams

Tom Williams (Book & Lyrics; Director)

Having graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2017 with a psychology degree, Tom also performed in various shows for the University, and acts with Sheffield based group ‘Dear Hunter Theatre’. He began directing, starting with Colla Voce Theatre’s sellout production of The Last Five Years, then turned his attention to writing, beginning his collaboration with Cordelia in early 2017. BURIED may be their first full-length piece of musical theatre, but it received NSDF’s ‘Edinburgh Award’, with British Theatre calling his book ‘perversely charming and entertaining’. Since leaving university, Tom has co-directed two one-man comedy shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, assisted as a musical director at the Playground Theatre, co-founded the annual Redgrave Shakesbeer Festival whilst co-directing it’s opening show, ‘ A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, and is currently writing a new piece of musical theatre alongside Cordelia O’Driscoll.

Olivia Doust

Olivia Doust (Orchestrations and Music Director)

Olivia is a Musical Director, Vocal Coach, Orchestrator, Singer and Conductor based in Sheffield, England. She completed her Music degree at the University of Sheffield in 2017 and has been with the show for over 3 years now since its conception, first as a cast member and orchestrator, then vocal coach and now musical director. She currently works for Razzamataz Theatre Schools as a vocal coach for children and young adults, as well as working privately as a singing and voice coach, choir leader, conductor and National Citizenship Service Mentor. She has completed level 1 and 2 of the Estill training model and completed specialist training in the menopausal voice, ‘support’ work and singing application of the model. She will continue her voice training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in her Voice Studies MFA later this year in London.

Sebastian Belli

Sebastian Belli (Harry)

Seb is a Welsh actor who has performed in BURIED since its opening in 2017. He performed throughout his time studying in Sheffield and since the second successful run with BURIED at the Edinburgh Fringe last summer has been based in Manchester. Having performed across the UK and in Europe, Seb feels the chance to play this character in New York is a both an exciting opportunity and a wonderful privilege.

Niamh Finan

Niamh Finan (Ensemble)

Niamh is a classically trained top soprano singer who is very excited to be in New York as she has never been outside of Europe before! When she is not acting, singing or dancing, she enjoys cooking, yoga and reading. Niamh was also a competitive Irish dancer for 15 years.

Laurence Hunt

Laurence Hunt (Ensemble)

Laurence graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2018 where he regularly acted and directed. Performing multi-role in BURIED has been enormous fun for Laurence, who enjoys the variety and silliness that the role offers. Laurence loves engaging with new writing projects and watching them evolve over time. Taking the show abroad has presented a welcome opportunity to revisit the part and develop it for a wider audience.

Lindsay Manion

Lindsay Manion (Rose)

Lindsay graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2018, having performed in a variety of shows throughout her academic career from GREASE to SPRING AWAKENING. Buried has been a delightful challenge which has really shaped her as a performer, and granted her excellent opportunities to showcase an award winning musical up and down the UK from Edinburgh to London, and now to New York!

Wilf Walsworth

Wilf Walsworth (Ensemble)

Originally from South London, Wilf just graduated from the University of Sheffield. With the University Theatre Company, Wilf took lead roles in numerous shows including THE GRADUATE, SPRING AWAKENING, and new writing MY MATE DAVE DIED, debuting at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018. Wilf loves football, cooking and maths.

Rebecca Yau

Rebecca Yau (Ensemble)

Originally from Nottingham and a graduate of The University of Sheffield, Rebecca has performed in various productions including THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, THE DAY BEFORE SPRING and JOURNEY'S END. She is incredibly grateful to be part of such an exciting show and is overjoyed to be performing at NYMF.
