An introduction to the art of writing a musical theater song.

This introductory workshop led by Ben Bonnema (The Apple Boys, Peter Panic, Boys Who Tricked Me) will take participants through an authentic musical theater songwriting process. Participants should expect to explore the relationship between music and language, learn key songwriting tools, discover the power of writer and performer collaborations, and have their original work publicly performed by professional actors in front of special guest artist Joe Iconis (Be More Chill, Broadway Bounty Hunter), who will provide guidance and feedback in a safe and open environment.

Open to individuals and teams of all backgrounds. 20 spaces available; applications closed on June 17.
