How far would you go to make a family?

Dana Jacobson, a fortyish, single New Yorker, leaves her colorful family of origin and moves to Los Angeles to start one of her own. As she careens through the world of medically assisted fertility she is forced to ponder the question – What exactly constitutes a family? Dana finds herself at the mercy of the foster care system, the L.A. public schools, HMO’s, and L.A. traffic. Dana’s dream comes true in a way she hadn't envisioned. Ultimately, THE BABY PROJECT gives voice to the ever-changing face of the American family.

Running time: 1 hour, 50 minutes.

Fonda Feingold

Fonda Feingold (Music and Lyrics)

NYC based singer, songwriter and keyboardist, Fonda began singing and playing the piano before she could reach the pedals. Born in Winthrop, Massachusetts, she was exposed to a wealth of musical influences that began to shape her style of writing and performing early on. Throughout her school years she performed with her older brothers and in various other bands and then went on to college with the ambition of becoming a concert pianist. Eventually, her inclination to write pop music eclipsed the lure of the classics and her songs attracted the attention of the music industry resulting in a solo album on the Polygram label entitled, Fonda Feingold. Esteemed artists Leon Pendarvis , Sid McGinnis (of the David Letterman band) and singers David Lasley and Arnold McCuller , (James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt)collaborated on her debut solo album. Her follow up recording is the self produced EP, Finally. Her most recent CD is Before and After. Renowned guitarist, Steve Khan, as well as guitarist, Julio Fernandez and NYC’s Uptown Horns (Larry Etkin, Bob Funk and Crispin Cioe.) Fonda has toured with such distinguished artists as Angela Bofill and Peabo Bryson. Recently, Fonda played at Feinsteins with Bobby Brooks Hamilton (son of Jackie Wilson.) Ms. Feingold is a proud member of the Lenox Sound Machine, a terrific rhythm section along with Mike Marble on drums, Scott Spray on bass and John Gerardi on guitars. Her distinctive keyboard work and vocal arrangements can currently be heard on several new DC’s coming out of Lenox Sound in Stamford, CT. See and hear more at
