Life happens, right?

Former child "star" and current NYC-based award-winning writer and performer Tim Realbuto (The Sopranos, The Emperor's Club) returns to NYMF in this deeply personal, hilarious, and poignant show based on his life growing up in show business. After touring WUNDERKIND throughout NYC (including sold out runs at Joe's Pub and 54 Below) and across the country, Tim brings his newest (and final) version of the show to NYMF, where his musical Ghostlight premiered in 2011. Expect an evening full of original songs, covers, and special guests.

Running Time: 1 hour and 40 minutes, with no intermission.

Tim Realbuto

Tim Realbuto (The Guy/Creator/Writer)

Tim Realbuto is so thrilled to be back at NYMF, after co-writing and directing the musical Ghostlight with Matthew Martin, which had its world premiere here in 2011 starring Rachel York, Michael Hayden and Tony Award winner Daisy Eagan. Tim first premiered Wunderkind (then titled Alone: With Plenty of Help) at 54 Below a little over a year ago. He then reworked the script, changed the title, and toured the show throughout NYC, including sold-out runs at Joe’s Pub, Stage 72 and The Laurie Beechman before taking it to The Venue in Orlando, Florida last December. Tim wrote, directed and starred in the play Yes, which premiered earlier this year as part of the Emerging Artists Theatre’s New Work Series. Workshops/readings: Alan in Mean the musical (written by Grammy Award winning pop icon P!nk); and Patrick Hall in Playground (directed by Andy Gale). Lisa Howard

Lisa Howard (The Wife)

Lisa is currently starring as Jenny Steinberg in Broadway's It Shoulda Been You (Drama Desk and Drama League nominations). Her other Broadway credits include: Diva 1 in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Missy Hart in 9 to 5 the musical, Head Nurse in Lincoln Center’s revival of South Pacific and as Rona Lisa Peretti in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, for which she won a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance. She toured the US in the national company of Les Misérables, where she played many performances as “Madame Thénardier”, and has played leading roles regionally at Pittsburgh CLO, St. Louis MUNY, Olney Theater Center, Human Race Theater and Kansas City Starlight. Lisa made her feature film debut as Siobahn in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" and has also been seen on television in “Ugly Betty.” Her debut solo CD, “Songs of Innocence and Experience” is available on iTunes. Jenna has been involved in every incarnation of Wunderkind since it's inception last year. She is also thrilled to be returning to NYMF after just starring as Nancy Kerrigan in Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera. Broadway: Nessarose in Wicked as well as LA and 1st Nat companies (Elphaba cover). Other NY: The Anthem, bare, Chick Flick, Standby (NYMF), Forever Deadward as well as numerous workshops and readings. TV/Film: Libby Chessler on "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch." Guest staring roles on "Bones", "Ghost Whisperer", "Castle", "Cold Case", "ER". Features include You Again, and the upcoming My Eleventh, and I Am Michael.

Danielle Ferland

Danielle Ferland (The Mother)

Danielle made her Broadway debut at age 13 as Louise in Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George. She next appeared Off-Broadway in Paradise!. In 1987 she was the singing child star in Woody Allen's film Radio Days. She returned to Broadway in what is possibly her most recognizable role, originating Little Red Ridinghood in the 1987 Stephen Sondheim/James Lapine musical Into the Woods. For her performance in Into the Woods she received the 1988 Theatre World Award and also was nominated for the 1988 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical. Other Broadway credits include: All My Sons and A Year With Frog and Toad. In 2012, Ms. Ferland starred in the Baltimore Center Stage production of Into The Woods, this time as the Baker's Wife. In 2014, Ferland played the role of Estelle in HBO's drama "The Normal Heart."

Christina Bianco received her second Drama Desk Award nomination in 2015 for her performance in Application Pending. Christina has become a worldwide YouTube sensation with her diva impression videos gaining over 20 million views, leading to appearances performing on "The Ellen Degeneres Show" and "The Queen Latifah Show." Christina recently made her London West End debut starring in The Menier Chocolate Factory’s hailed production of Forbidden Broadway at the Vaudeville Theatre. In New York, Christina starred Off-Broadway in Newsical the Musical and Forbidden Broadway: Goes To Rehab, for which she received her first Drama Desk Award Nomination. Recently, Christina sold out two critically acclaimed, extended runs headlining at London’s famed Hippodrome, as well as a sold out run at Royal Albert Hall’s prestigious Elgar Room.

Kimberly Faye Greenberg

Kimberly Faye Greenberg (The Fictional Character/The Music)

Declared a "Warm, Sassy Diva" by the Associated Press, Kimberly is the first and only actress in NYC to have played leading roles in two legit Off-Broadway Musicals at the same time: Sylvia Fine in Danny and Sylvia; and, as Fanny Brice in the solo show, One Night with Fanny Brice, for which she received critical acclaim. A self admitted multi-tasker with a penchant for playing historical Broads, Kimberly just finished playing Lillian Hellman in "Little Wars", Kathleen "Kick" Kennedy in "28 Marchant Avenue" and Marguerite Taylor (Laurette Taylor's daughter) in "What Was Lost" in rep for Beautiful Soup Theater. Kimberly is also touring her own highly accoladed solo show Fabulous Fanny: Songs & Stories of Fanny Brice (cast album on all major music/streaming sites) that has played numerous venues around the tri-state including the renowned 54 Below and continues to play Fanny Brice, again, as it moves towards Broadway In Tim Realbuto's and Matthew Martin's musical "Ghostlight" (for which she originated the role in the NYMF presentation in 2011).

Matthew Martin

Matthew Martin (The Pre-Recorded Voice/The BFF)

Co-wrote the book, music and lyrics alongside Mr. Realbuto for Ghostlight, which debuted at The Signature Theatre in 2011 as part of this festival, resulting in several concert evenings and readings of their work. On stage, Matthew's favorite experiences have been The Threepenny Opera, Guys and Dolls, Witness for the Prosecution, Into the Woods, Neat and Tidy, The Canary and Godspell. He has also sung backup for Orfeh at the Zipper and Josh Groban at Madison Square Garden. He and Tim also have a few new projects in the works. Stay tuned.

Leigh Martha Klinger

Leigh Martha was born and raised bilingual in Germany, studied Drama in Munich and worked in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy until she finally took the leap and moved to NYC 3 years ago. Now, she can´t imagine being anywhere else in the world. Leigh is ecstatic to be making her NYMF debut! Adena Walker

Grant Albright

Grant Albright (The Little Boy)

Grant Albright is thrilled to be a part of Wunderkind and the NYMF. Grant's credits include: The Little Mermaid, White Plains Performing Arts Center (Flounder), Ragtime, Westchester Broadway Theatre (Edgar), A Christmas Story (Jonathan), 13, Stagedoor Manor (Eddie), as well as numerous youth productions at Standing Ovations Studios in Armonk NY, and Broadway Workshop in NYC. Grant can also bee seen in local commercials in Westchester, and he has a small role in the upcoming movie No Letting Go (Damian Pictures). Grant enjoys dancing, improv and hanging out in NYC with his friends. Grant would like to thank Tim Realbuto for the opportunity, Laurie Sheppard for always thinking of him, Rochelle Kushner Shulman of RKS management, and his Mema for his love of Manhattan and theatre.

Kevin Riddagh

Kevin Riddagh (The Boy)

Kevin recently moved to NYC in January after graduating from DeSales University in 2014. Kevin is an actor, writer, director, and jack of all trades. Recently in NYC, Kevin directed and starred in "Clown Death and Birth" as Mr. Clown, "The Adonis" as Bobby, and in Tim Realbuto's concert "LIVE IN LIVING COLOR." REGIONAL: "MacBeth" as Donalbain, "Comedy of Errors" as Antipholus of Syracuse, "Urinetown" as Bobby Strong. On film, Kevin is featured in a new film Snip, awarding him his 2nd IMDb credit. She recently appearing in 'Tim Realbuto: Live In Living Color', an evening celebrating the songwriting duo of Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Katie is a Detroit native, and is super happy. Jackie Reynolds

Jackie Reynolds is excited to be working with Tim Realbuto again! She was last seen in The Gallery Player's productions of Evita and RENT. Recent credits include Elsa Schraeder in 'Sound of Music' with Pheonix Productions, Ulla in 'The Producers' and Pamina in 'The Magic Flute' with Virginia Repertory Theatre. Jackie has been living in the city for a little of a year where she has also been featured in the Jonathan Larson Grant Ceremony and Tim Realbuto's Tribute Concert to Maury Yeston.

Michael Kidney

Michael Kidney is thrilled to be back at NYMF after so long. He first premiered his work at NYMF in 2011 where he showcased his choreography in “Ghostlight”, written by Tim Realbuto and Matthew Martin. Michael has his B.A. with Honors in Dance Performance and Choreography from Queens College. Michael currently serves as a resident Director and Choreographer at The Heights Players and a resident Choreographer at The Gallery Players, both located in Brooklyn. Michael recently directed Thornton Wilder’s masterpiece, “The Skin of Our Teeth”. Recent choreographic credits: Kiss Me, Kate; Jerry’s Girls; The Boys From Syracuse; Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn; The Pajama Game; A Chorus Line. Assistant Director credits include Yentl and Our Town. Abby Judd

Abby Judd is a feisty Irishwoman, stage manager, and designer/technician. Her recent Stage Management credits include the Puppet Shakespeare Players Off-Broadway production 'Puppet Titus Andronicus' (produced by Dee Snider), the launch party for (hosted/produced by Lizz Winstead), and the charity telethon event Clear Eyes Full Hearts Can't Lose (hosted by Sarah Silverman). Recent light and sound design credits include, 'The Vaudevillains' (starring RuPaul's Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon), 'Crossdresser for Christ' (starring Drag Race runner up Ginger Minj), as well as many other cabarets for notable Broadway stars and award winning performers at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Philip Coiro

Philip Coiro (Drums)

Philip Coiro is a drummer and percussionist from Long Island, NY and is currently freelancing and teaching around the tri-state area. He can be seen performing regularly in a wide variety of musical settings throughout New York City from performing behind artists Troy and Cáthia (NBC’s The Voice, Season 4), to concerts at ‘54 Below’ and 'Joe's Pub' with various Broadway singers (including Mandy Gonzalez), to playing percussion at private events with the DJ's of City Sounds Entertainment. Philip has performed extensively throughout the United States with numerous touring shows, most recently with the 1st national tour of ‘Flashdance’ The Musical. Other tours include the 1st national tour of the Tony nominated Broadway musical ‘The Wedding Singer’, ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and ‘A Chorus Line’. He has performed off-broadway in New York City with the shows ‘Silence!’ The Musical, ‘Sistas The Musical, 'HA! The Musical' and in the City's longest running variety burlesque show, Le Scandal. He has played drums behind singer/model/actress Kate Nauta, artist Elizabeth Sullivan and was a sideline musician for NBC's drama, 'SMASH' (Season 2, episode 8 "Bells & Whistles"). Philip can also be heard on Cáthia’s 2014 debut EP ‘UNBREAKABLE’ on the track titled ‘Catching Feelings'. Philip studied classical percussion at Purchase Conservatory of Music under Raymond DesRoches and Dr. Dominic Donato.

Owner of Boom P.R. Boom P.R. is a boutique company, aiming to give clients the attention that they deserve. With Laurie's theatrical background, she can be creative and efficient, adding ideas with a fun twist. Laurie has works with a wide variety of clients, including makeup artists, hair stylists, designers, stylists, health and fitness professionals, music, comedy, theatrical productions, one-person shows, kids' products/events, authors and restaurants.
