An American experience, a China Story.

GUILIN is a story about a young, Chinese American woman’s journey from suburban America to Guilin, Guangxi Province, China – “the most beautiful place under heaven.” In search of her past, she finds a father’s love and discovers the real truth about her heritage.

Louis Steven Santora

Louis Steven Santora (Book/Music/Lyrics)

Louis Steven Santora entered his music career as a performer. Expanding into the studio as a session player, Santora utilized his musical skills in writing, arranging, orchestration, and music production throughout his career. Over the last seven years, Santora’s energy has been directed toward musical theater. His primary focus has been the development of the musical GUILIN, A CHINA STORY. Santora wrote the book, music, and lyrics and has produced the soundtrack.



Peter Gregus (Director)

Peter Gregus can currently be seen performing the role of Bob Crewe in the Tony Award winning musical Jersey Boys on Broadway, the role he originated. He has also performed in the original cast of Lincoln Center Theater's Contact. He has staged his own adaptation of June Havoc’s Marathon 33 for the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Other directing & choreographing credits include regional productions of Lend Me a Tenor, Godspell, A Chorus Line, and The Boyfriend.
