After starring off-Broadway in F#%king Up Everything (NYMF ‘10), NYMF’s 2011 Next Broadway Sensation winner returns to the festival with a one-night-only concert celebrating new musical theatre composers. NYMF alums Ryan Scott Oliver, Joe Iconis, and Jeff Thompson, are among the writers featured, with performances by Dawn, F#%king Up Everything castmates Jason Gotay & George Salazar, and others.

Running Time: 1 hour 30 minutes without intermission.

Dawn Cantwell

Dawn Cantwell (Creator/ Performer)

Originally from LA, Musician/Actor Dawn Cantwell moved to NYC to attend Tisch@NYU. Dawn recently released her debut EP, Big Steps Little Feet, and was the 2011 winner of the NYMF Next Broadway Sensation Award. Recent Credits include: F#%king Up Everything (Elektra Theatre), Dogfight (Second Stage), and the title role in Notes to Marianne (New York Theatre Workshop). Film: Tilting at WindMills (Winner at IFFM), At That Moment (co-starring Wallach). Her original music has been heard at Joe's Pub, Birdland, and The Iridium. Jason Gotay

Jason Gotay recently made his Broadway debut as Randall in the original company of Bring It On: The Musical! Currently appearing Off-Broadway as Jake in F#%king Up Everything at the Elektra Theater. Regional: Rent(Pioneer Theater Company, Westchester Broadway Theater), Shenandoah,The King and I. NY: Broadway's Rising Stars (Town Hall). Numerous concerts include 54 Below, Joe's Pub, Birdland, The Allen Room at Lincoln Center and Some Kind of Wonderful, his solo debut at (le) Poisson Rouge. BFA, Marymount Manhattan College.



George Salazar

George Salazar (Performer)

George Salazar is a New York City-based actor, singer, musician (drums and guitar), and writer. George is currently a swing in the world premiere of David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's Here Lies Love (Public Theater; dir. Alex Timbers). He was last seen Off-Broadway in F#%king Up Everything (Elektra Theatre; dir. Jen Wineman). In 2011, he made his Broadway debut singing "Light of the World" in the revival of Stephen Schwartz's Godspell (Circle in the Square; dir. Daniel Goldstein). He also toured North America in the 2010-2011Spring Awakening National Tour (NETworks). Workshops and readings include Ryan Scott Oliver's Jasper in Deadland (York Theatre; dir. Daniel Goldstein), Venice (Public Theater; dir. Eric Rosen), Here Lies Love (Public Theater; dir. Alex Timbers), Pookie Goes Grenading (Cape Cod Theatre Project; dir. Giovanna Sardelli), and Long Season (Huntington Theatre; dir. Peter DuBois)
