Ellen, a distraught single mother, discovers a crack in her kitchen ceiling -- and no one seems to be able to repair it.  As a bizarre series of handymen, plumbers, and spiritual healers try to solve the problem, Ellen finds that more than her home is at risk: her family and her sanity are increasingly put to the test in this dark musical comedy.

Running Time: 1 hour 20 minutes with no intermission.

James Harvey

James Harvey (Book / Music / Lyrics)

James Harvey is a New York based composer, writer and musician. He is a rising senior at New York University, where he studies music composition under Broadway conductor Joseph Church. In May 2012 composer Alan Menken selected James for a scholarship based on his score for The Crack in the Ceiling. James’ next intended project is a musical adaptation of the acclaimed documentary, The Queen of Versailles. He is currently studying improv comedy at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Stephen Tyler Davis

Stephen Tyler Davis (Director)

Stephen Tyler Davis earned his degree from the University of Alabama in theatre production and creative writing where he graduated with honors, performed, directed, produced, and led a movement that made experimental theatre the hottest thing on the 'Bama campus since tailgating. He currently serves as the resident writer and Artistic Director for While We Wait Productions and Blue Plate Broadway. Stephen made his NYC directing debut with Dalliance Theatre Company's Who is Jordan Bishop? in 2010. He has performed in three national tours with TheatreWorks USA, with recent appearances at Town Hall, Metropolitan Room, Iridium Jazz Club, Papermill, and the Laurie Beechman Theater. Stephen is honored to be working with NYMF again since the premiere of his original musical Huckleberry Haywood at the 2011 festival. Proud member of AEA, but happy to be playing on the other side of the sandbox. Roll Tide!

Anthony Apicella

Anthony Apicella (Lonny)

Anthony Apicella is so excited to be doing "Crack"! Anthony has appeared in several productions in New York including Huckleberry Haywood: A Spunk Rock Musical and Fools In Love. He was a soloist with Disney In Concert which tours to symphonies across the globe, celebrating the "magical music from the movies". Anthony also co-created and is a member of The Copa Boys, which is a trio of singers dedicated to honoring the era of martinis, tuxedos and the American standard. Annie Edgerton

Annie Edgerton (Ellen)

Annie Edgerton has actually been a victim of her own Crack in the Ceiling on more than one occasion, believe it or not!  She was recently seen as Violet in 9 to 5 in Indianapolis and Rosie in the global smash hit Mamma Mia! on Broadway. Annie has also donned the spandex and platform boots to cover and perform the roles of Donna, Tanya and Rosie on Broadway as well as the North American Tour of Mamma Mia! Other NYC/regional: Paulette, Legally Blonde; Felice in Kander & Ebb’s The Happy Time; Nancy, Oliver!; Mary Quite Contrary, Babes in Toyland; Camilla Parker-Bowles, Queen of Hearts. Annie has performed cabaret acts at the Duplex and Don’t Tell Mama in NYC, she is a singer/songwriter currently working on a CD of jazz standards, and has sung the National Anthem for seventeen MLB teams (so far!). She was proud to be a part of Marvin Hamlisch’s Memorial Choir and the Sondheim Birthday Celebration at Avery Fisher Hall, singing for Steven Sondheim himself. She has appeared on film and TV, she studies voice with Neil Semer, acting with Sande Shurin, and she is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.  Annie is also the Wine Minx™ working as a Wine Appraiser and Consultant, she also teaches private wine classes and writes a wine blog: Website:

Jordan Jones-Reese (Musical Director)

Jordan Jones-Reese is thrilled to be working on this exciting new project with such a great company. He plays frequently for auditions, shows and coachings here in New York and will be pursuing an MFA in Music Direction for theater at Penn State in the fall under the direction of Dan Riddle and Susan Schulman.
