Christian Campbell will be in Undercover Showtunes
The final concert in the New York Musical Theatre Festival Spring Benefit Concert Series will be Undercover Showtunes on Monday, June 18 at 7pm at the Zipper Factory (37th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues).  Stars scheduled to appear include Christian Campbell (Reefer Madness, ABC's All My Children), Mary Faber (Avenue Q), Manoel Felciano (Sweeney Todd), and Gloria Reuben (NBC's ER).

An original, first-of-its-kind concert, Undercover Showtunes will present pop and rock songs that weren't written for musicals, but tell a story, create a character, or paint such a full vivid portrait as a great song, they might as well have been from a show.

Theatre favorites will give songs a new, theatrical life, and tell of "Eleanor Rigby" by the Beatles, "Captain Fantastic" by Elton John and Bernie Taupin, David Bowie's "Major Tom", Sting's "Roxanne" as well as stories and characters in tunes by Joni Mitchell, Rufus Wainwright, Stephen Merritt, the Decemberists, and more.

Bringing together the worlds of pop/rock and musical theatre, Undercover Showtunes will challenge audiences to rethink their favorite hits as songs that lost their musical, and found the radio instead.

The concert is the last in the NYMF's Spring Concert series, co-sponsored by BroadwayWorld.com and amNY.

Tickets are $50, or $90 including a post-concert cast party, and available by calling 212-352-3101 or clicking here.
