This past summer, after the Group Theatre Too production of COUNT TO TEN at the Connelly Theater, Rob Hopper, Executive Director of the National Youth Theatre awarded COUNT TO TEN with Best New Musical. Rob Hopper attended COUNT TO TEN and wrote a rave review back in May, but Executive Producer of the show Justin Boccitto says, “We never thought we would be recognized with this award. . . .everyone was pleasantly surprised!”  The award ceremony took place at the TADA Theater in Manhattan. Writer/Director Michael Blevins and Boccitto accepted the award.

GTT’s production of COUNT TO TEN played over 30 performances in the past two years traveling throughout the country. Production venues included The Centenary Performing Arts Guild in New Jersey, The Johnson City Community Theatre in Tennessee, The 14th Street Theater and Connelly Theater in New York City.

COUNT TO TEN was featured in Dance Spirit Magazine, Stage Directions, BroadwayWorld.com and more. GTT also presented two benefit performances supporting the Broadway League’s New Producers Alliance.
