Congratulations to Nominated NYMF Alumni!

Awards season is heating up right along with the weather and, of course, that means that NYMF shows are representing in the lists of nominees! We are extremely excited to announce the nominations that NYMF alumni have earned this season...

My Vaudeville Man!, from NYMF's 2007 season when it was called Mud Donahue and Son, has earned two Lucille Lortel Award nominations for Best Off-Broadway Musical and Best Choreographer. It also received two Drama Desk Award nominations for Outstanding Choreography and Outstanding Actress in a Musical! Nominees Karen Murphy, Lynne Taylor-Corbett, and Shonn Wiley were all reprising there roles from the 2007 NYMF production. 

ROOMS: a Rock Romance, which originated at NYMF in 2005, has received 3 Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for Oustanding New Off-Broadway Musical, Outstanding New Score (Broadway or Off-Broadway), and Outstanding Actress in a Musical (Leslie Kritzer). Nominee Paul Scott Goodman who wrote the music for ROOMS is a NYMF regular who in addition to ROOMS wrote Alive in the World (NYMF '06) and was featured in 2007's concert Paul Scott Goodman: Songs, Stories, Friends. Recent Broadway successes Next to Normal and [title of show] were not eligible to receive these awards due to their earlier Off-Broadway runs, which garnered multiple awards.
