Back by popular demand after selling out its NYMF 2006 performance, with more great performers and twice as many songs, the concert will feature such well-known Broadway talents as Stephen Bogardus (Falsettos), Kevyn Morrow (Ragtime), Bob Stillman (Grey Gardens), Michael Arden (The Times They Are A Changin’), Felicia Finley (The Wedding Singer), J. Robert Spencer (Jersey Boys), Michael Winther (Mamma Mia!), and Liz McCartney (Taboo).  General admission tickets are $50.  V.I.P. tickets with a post-show reception with the cast $90.

"More Unauthorized Musicology of Ben Folds" kicks off NYMF's Spring Concert Series which examines popular rock music and musical theatre and the interaction and intersection between the two in styles, performers, and audience.

Ben Folds entered the mainstream music lexicon with his group, The Ben Folds Five, and their hit singles "Brick", "Army," and "Philosophy" among others.  Later separating from the group, Folds continued his unique story telling with piano riffs and well crafted lyrics in his "Rockin' the Suburbs" and "Songs for Silverman" albums.  He also turned to producing, working with William Shatner on his album "Has Been".

It has always been rumored that Folds was interested in writing a musical, and he has written songs for numerous movie soundtracks.  Folds' concerts are always highly theatrical and his solo tour, "Ben Folds and a Piano" was performed like a large venue cabaret act complete with humorous anecdotes and improvised songs.

NYMF’s 2007 Spring Concert Series is co-sponsored by www.BroadwayWorld.com and by amNewYork, as part of its “Artist Now” Series.
