Auditions for NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation

Now in its third year, the Event Formerly Known as Broadway Idol is back to make your diva dreams come true. Win this talent competition and you'll get your very own solo concert, a special one-night only performance where you're the star!

Sponsored by TheaterMania, NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation occurs every Friday night during the Festival (September 19, September 26, and October 3) and will be held American Idol-style, with special celebrity judges and audience votes to determine the winner.

Open auditions will be held on Friday, September 12th from 10am to 7pm at Roy Arias Theatre Center, located at 300 West 43rd Street on the 5th floor. Call backs will be held on Saturday, September 13th from 6pm to 10pm. NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation is open to singers aged 18 and over who have tons of Broadway flair but no Broadway credits.

If you want to be the Next Broadway Sensation, start polishing up 16 bars of the showtune that best demonstrates your vocal chops and show up for the open auditions on September 12th! Be sure to bring sheet music (an accompanist will be provided), as well as your headshot and resume!
