New York’s Musical Theatre Festival, which runs from September 15 to October 5, offers 24 full musical productions, alongside concerts, special events and seminars. Our pick? The two-person, four-musician, one-act indie musical Jason & Ben, which follows the two title characters — both songwriters — as they meet by chance on Christmas Eve are launched into a series of psychological and sexual mind games.
