NYMF 2007's The Last Starfighter, Fred Landau and Walter Edgar Kennon's sci-fi musical, will be seen in the upcoming Village Theatre's First Stage Season as part of its Spring Village Originals Workshop. The Village Theatre is located in Issaquah, WA,in Washington; the production will be presented on May 23-25.

The Last Starfighter follows the story of a video-game obsessed teenage whose life takes a turn after a con man from another galaxy recruits him to help save his people. This quirky sci-fi romance was inspired by the 1984 film starring Robert Preston.
The musical was an audience favorite in the 2007 Festival and featured Danny Binstock, Chuck Cooper, and Joseph Kolinski. A number of actors from the NYMF cast will be reprising their roles in the Village Theatre presentation.
