Submissions Now Open for 2008 Next Link Program

Open Submissions are now being accepted through March 1 for the 2008 Next Link Project, NYMF's writer service program for the world's emerging musical theatre talent. The authors of musicals accepted into this program are nurtured throughout the year by a variety of resources, including one-on-one professional dramaturgical support, a weekend-long seminar of panels and producer networking events and a subsidized production slot in The 2008 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Shows submitted for consideration should be ready for production and prepared for the exposure that accompanies participating in the world's largest annual musical theatre event. All shows are entered into a blind evaluation process and read by multiple members of NYMF's army of professional New York script readers. Shortlisted works will be notified the week of April 7; the 18 recipients of NYMF production slots and Next Link support will be notified the week of April 28.
