The Beastly Bombing, opening October 2nd at the 2007 New York Musical Theatre Festival won the 2007 LA Weekly Theater Award for Musical of the Year. The NYMF Production marks its New York City premiere. Nerds://A Musical Software Satire also recently won two Barrymore awards for its winter production at Philadelphia Theatre Company.

The Los Angeles production of The Beastly Bombing won Best Musical of the Year at the LA Weekly Theater Awards in April. The 28th Annual awards honor excellence in Los Angeles theaters of 99 seats or less. The Beastly Bombing is graduating to the larger Julia Miles Theater for its New York run.
The production garnered four additional nominations including Roger Neill for Best Musical Direction, Best Musical Ensemble, Best Production Design, Kevin Remington and Allen Walls for Best Choreography.
Nerds://A Musical Software Satire, a part of NYMF 2005, was another award winner, receiving the Barrymore Awards for Outstanding New Play and Outstanding Original Music. The show was nominated for a total of eight awards.
The Beastly Bombing is a modern day operetta about white supremacists and Al Qaeda terrorists, who plot to blow up the Brooklyn Bridge, but get side tracked by love features a completely original score by Roger Neill with book and lyrics by Julien Nitzberg. The Gilbert-and-Sullivan-style has garnered much attention and was dubbed "the first great work of comedy to emerge from the post-9/11 little planet of horrors."
The Beastly Bombing opens at NYMF on Tuesday, October 2nd at 8pm, and runs October 3rd at 1pm, October 4th at 8pm, October 5th at 4:30pm and 8pm, and October 7th at 1pm.
