Freshly Tossed "will be one of the highlights of the festival"

Choreographer Wendy Seyb's School Daze was one of the best shows in last year's New York Musical Theatre Festival; check my review here. At this year's festival she's co-curating and contributing to a special event on October 1st called Freshly Tossed; info here. I can't attend, so I jumped at the chance to drop in on a press event to see an excerpt from one of her contributions. The piece - for one male and one female dancer - has some of the same delightful qualities as School Daze, achieving broad, quirky physical comedy through dance. It's also, in a word, fun: if even half of the material in the evening is up to this level of playfulness and skill, Freshly Tossed will be one of the highlights of the Festival.
