When you think of musical theatre, science fiction might not be the first thing to come into your mind, but two of our shows have proved that even aliens like to sing and dance!  The Brain from Planet X and The Last Starfighter have humans defending their planet in retro-musical theatre style!

Set in 1958, The Brain from Planet X tells of a brain and its two alien cohorts, Zubrick and Yoni, land on Earth to take over the San Fernando Valley, starting with the happy nuclear family, the Burtons.  An affectionate and hilarious send-up of 1950s sci-fi B-movies, The Brain From Planet X brings musical comedy to the quest of taking over the planet.

The Last Starfighter
is based on the cult-classic 1980s movie of the same name written by Jonathan Betuel.  The show centers on high school senior Alex Rogan whose life takes an unexpected trurn when he break a video game record only to discover it has been an inter-galactic training program.  With his body double droid left on Earth, and shape-shifting alien assassins out to get him, Alex must reach inside himself to help the Star League and save the universe.

Fans of special effects and curious creatures should be sure not to miss these exciting musical theatre science-fiction shows!
