NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation (2011)
Sponsored by BroadwayWorld.com, New World Stages, and Sh-K-Boom Records, NYMF’s Next Broadway Sensation is back for its sixth season, showcasing the bravest of performers to an audience of fans and theatre legends alike – to discover the stars of tomorrow and give them their big break today.
Over three exciting weekly concerts, 20 singers will battle their way through the elimination rounds to claim the ultimate prize: their very own solo concert, produced by NYMF and GRAMMY® Award-winning Sh-K-Boom Records.
A panel of industry pros will also be on hand each week to
offer feedback and advice. Past celebrity commentators have included Jonathan
Groff, Marc Shaiman, Tom Kitt, Donna Lynne Champlin, Orfeh, Kate Shindle, Diana
DeGarmo, Andrea McArdle, and more – making the event not just a competition but
also a once-in-a-lifetime master class!
Past contestants have gone on to appear in numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, including American Idiot, Hair, West Side Story, South Pacific, and many more. The fate of this year’s contestants will be decided by audience votes – so don’t miss your chance to launch a star! Who will NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation be?
