One Night Stand: An Improvised Musical (2009)
A completely improvised hour-long musical! Using an audience-suggested title, everything is made up on the spot without ANY writing or planning, including the music, the lyrics, the singing melodies, the characters, the choreography, the plot, the dialogue and anything else you can think of. Fun for all ages!
ONE NIGHT STAND has improvised over 50 musicals across the globe since its inception in January 2007. They’ve performed at The Groundlings Theater and Hudson Theater in Los Angeles, the Dirty South Improv Festival in Carrboro, North Carolina, and twice at the Pleasance Dome in Edinburgh, Scotland for the 2007 & 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. They’ve appeared on BBC Radio, CurrentTv.com (http://current.com/items/89236258_one-night-stand.htm), and several live U.K. talk shows. During their 2008 Total Sell-Out run in Edinburgh, out of 3000 shows, they were named the “#1 Thing to Do” by the Edinburgh Evening News. They can currently be seen on-stage at The Hudson Theater in Hollywood, where they are in the midst of a glorious 5-week run of never-before-seen, never-to-be-seen-again musicals.
