Adam Kaplan


 

 Adam Kaplan is so excited to be a part of this year’s competition!

Originally from Westport, Connecticut, he recently graduated with a BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University. He has performed regionally at venues such as Flat Rock  Playhouse, Hot Summer Nights at the Kennedy, and Music Theatre of Wichita. Camille Trzcinski

 

Camille Trzcinski is a recent Theater grad from Florida State University and is thrilled to be a part of NYMF's 2012 Next Broadway Sensation!

Recent credits include Estelle from The Full Monty, Madame Dilly from On The Town and Top 13 contestant in Scott Alan's "I'm a Star" contest. Camille would like to thank her wonderful sister, Danielle for giving her the confidence to audition for this competition and her awesome friends for being so supportive.

Charlotte Munson

 

 

Dimitri Moise

 

 Dimitri Moise - Dimitri is extremely proud to be a part of NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation!

He is currently at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in the New Studio on Broadway studying Musical Theatre. Regional credits include: Tim Wyatt in the Pre-Broadway Production of "Johnny Baseball," Richie in "A Chorus Line," Hud in "HAIR," and Sailor in "Anything Goes." NYU credits include: Flick in "Violet" and Polynices in "The Seven." Dimitri has also been seen in various new works such as: Ian/Bradley Cole in "Bradley Cole," Rob in "This Dark City," St. Goar/Derek in "The Lorelei," and Davu in "Let it Rain." In addition, he has performed solo at Carnegie Hall, at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in Daniel Lincoln's Cabaret "4 Scores...and 7 Shows Ago," at the Daryl Roth Theatre in J. Oconor Navarro's "New Composers Cabaret," and most recently at Radio City Music Hall this past May. Thank you to everyone at NYMF for this fabulous opportunity! Peace, Light, & Love

 

 

Joel Dommel

 

 

 Joel Dommel - originally from Whitehall, PA, is a recent graduate of The Hartt School with a BFA in Music Theatre. Regional credits include: The Who’s Tommy (Captain Walker), Sweeney Todd (Anthony Hope), Titanic: The Musical (Frederick Barrett), and Parade (Britt Craig). Joel was also featured as the lead role in the new musical "Not Wanted on the Voyage" (Dr. Noyes), as apart of the Goodspeed Opera House’s New Artist Festival in 2012. Joel has recently moved to New York and is humbled and honored to be a part of this NYMF competition. Thank you to my friends, family, and my incredible fiancé, Alexandra for all of their love and support.

 

Josephine Spada

 

 Josephine Spada - A new Graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts where she studied at CAP21! Josephine has always been encouraged by her supportive family and friends to follow this crazy dream of hers and it is mainly due to their unconditional support that she is here tonight! Right after her showcase at CAP21, Josephine has been performing in concerts all around this amazing city in venues such as Joe's Pub, Ars Nova, Rockwood Music Hall and The Duplex!

 

Katie Postotnik

 Katie Postotnik is thrilled to be a part of the NNBS competition this year! She is pumped to be back in NYC after being on tour with Rock of Ages as Regina the past year! Katie is an OCU alum. Mark Borum

Mark Borum is so excited to be a part of this year's NNBS competition. Favorite credits include the first national tour of The Wedding SingerRENT (Roger), Footloose (Ren), Hair (Woof), and The Full Monty (Ethan), among  many others. Shira Averbuch

 Shira Averbuch - Shira was born in Rochester, NY, but split her time growing up between Washington D.C and Israel. She served as a singer in the Israeli Army singing for troops and families living in war zones. In NYC she has been part of various productions in landmark venues such as Don’t Tell Mama, The Duplex Theater, Theater Row Studio Theater and City Winery.


She is incredibly grateful to be a part of NNBS, and cannot wait to meet Stephen Schwartz face to face!

Tommy J Dose

 Tommy J. Dose - Originally from Buffalo, NY. Credit Include: My Fair Lady(National Tour), HUSH-The Musical (Triad, FringeNYC 2011), Sweeney Todd and Phantom (Fulton Theatre), My Fair Lady (Lancaster Symphony), Lucifer in In the Beginning (Sight & Sound). Other credits include: Lockstock in Urinetown (JCC Rochester), Proprietor in Assassins (Dramatis Persone), Baker in Into the Woods, Oklahoma (Artpark), Captains Courageous and Bill Sikes in Oliver! Alexis Fishman 

 Alexis Fishman - Alexis is the creator and star of the solo show Der Gelbe Stern, co-written by James Millar. Der Gelbe Stern made its debut at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in 2011, followed by seasons at the Melbourne Cabaret Festival and a sold out season at The Reginald at the Seymour Centre in Sydney.

New York credits include ‘The Hatpin’ for the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), ‘Secret of Our Souls’ (Minetta Lane Theatre/FringeNYC), ‘Artists Rising’ (Theatre Row), ‘And no one knows what you’re about…’ (Love Creek Productions) and ‘Faultlines’ (Ruffled Feathers)

 

Andrea Enright

 Andrea Enright - A Portland, Oregon native now residing in Upper Manhattan with her husband and little white cat. Andrea is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy as well as a 2012 graduate of Otterbein University with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. Ashanti J'Aria

 Ashanti J'Aria - When Ashanti was 4 years old her mother got a phone call saying Ashanti would be closing the school talent show with her rendition of 'I'm telling you I'm Not Going' from dreamgirls. Her mother's response was "she sings?". She has been singing and dancing and acting ever since, eventually earning a BA in the theatre from Fordham University Lincoln Center.

She has had the honor of being asked to lend her talents over seas, in voiceovers, and television shows that include "The Good Wife", "Family Matters", and American Idol. On and off stage experiences include productions of "Saturday Night Fever", "Little Shop of Horrors", "Beehive", "The Kink In My Hair" (Naacp award winning production) "Guys & Dolls", "Caroline Or Change", "Hair", NYMF's "The Groove Factory" and most recently NYMF's own Off-Broadway production of "The Last Smoker In America." Ashanti Is honored and humbled by this opportunity.

 

Cody Ryan

 Cody Ryan - After graduating from The Hartt School of Music, Cody left for a world cruise where he visited over six continents and 150 countries. He is honored to be apart of Broadway's Next Sensation competition among such incredible talent. To quote All Dogs Go To Heaven, "Let's make music together. Let's make sweet harmony"

 

Daniel Belnavis

 Daniel Belnavis - A graduate from University of Michigan, was recently seen in NYMF's special event "Requiem For A Lost Girl"

 

Danielle Trzcinski

 

 Danielle Trzcinski - hails from Tampa Florida and is a proud FSU and AMDA grad. “Top 25″ in NBC’s Last Comic Standing NY, as well as top 5 females in NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity. Danielle was recently seen as Wendy in FringeNYC's production of "Non-Equity the Musical!" Tours: Nikelodeon’s “Storytime Live!” and “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing.” Special thanks to the creative team, friends, family, Mono, and Camille my sister and fellow competitor- Rock it out gurl!

 

Max Chernin

 Max Chernin - last seen in "Really Bad Things" at NYMF this year Also as the annual Broadway’s Rising Stars concert at Town Hall. He is a Cleveland, Ohio native and recent graduate of CCM. Other credits include: Rent (Collins), Falsettos (Mendel), Make Me a Song (Man 1), The History Boys (Timms), and Blues Clues Live! (Slippery Soap). Mike Longo

 Mike Longo - is ecstatic to be back with NYMF, only this time, a part of 2012's Next Broadway Sensation!

This Bensonhurst, Brooklyn native was last seen with NYMF '11 in Gerard Alessandrini's "Madame X" starring Donna English. He has just returned from Surflight Theatre's production of "Once Upon A Time In New Jersey" co-starring with previous NYMF Broadway Sensation 2007 winner, George Psomas. Other credits include Villa Diodati: A Chamber Opera and Joe Stein's Heaven Can Wait, both at the York Theatre. A big thanks to the NYMF team for giving us a voice in this big city and to all for your support!

 

Noah Zachary

 NOAH ZACHARY - Off-Broadway: Dear Edwina (D.R.2.), Once Upon a Time in New Jersey (Prospect Theater). Regional: Amazing Grace (Goodspeed Opera House) Next To Normal (Adirondack Theater Festival) Spring Awakening (Revision Theater), Hair, Tommy, Rent, Seussical (Connecticut Repertory Theatre). Shannon O'Boyle

 Shannon O’Boyle - Proud member of Actors Equity. Shannon graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre from Baldwin Wallace University’s Conservatory of Music in May under the direction of Victoria Bussert. Shannon has worked at Playhouse Square, Great Lakes Theatre, Idaho Shakespeare Festival and more. Favorite credits include the title role of Lizzie in the midwest premiere of the rock musical about axe-wielding murderess Lizzie Borden, Cabaret,and the world premiere in repertory of Rent and La Boheme.
