For the past six years, hundreds of actors have auditioned for the opportunity to be crowned NYMF’s Next Broadway Sensation. NYMF's popular annual talent competition exposes the freshest new performers to an audience of fans and musical theatre legends alike. Some of our past contestants have gone on to make their Broadway debuts in Hair, South Pacific, West Side Story, and Mary Poppins and head on tour with Legally Blonde and In the Heights.

 

This past October, Cassie Wooley was named NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation 2009. This is her prize.

A night of rock n' roll, new composers, a killer band, and a beast of a journey that asks, "what happens when we really start paying attention?" Featuring the music of such writers and artists as Fiona Apple, Niko Tsakalakos, Bjork, The Raconteurs, and Elvis, Cassie Wooley's Chimera will take audiences on an exciting musical daydream.
