NYMF is a three week showcase of the freshest, hottest talent in musical theatre, bringing the next generation of modern musical entertainment to producers, artists, and young adult audiences.  NYMF is NOT your typical musical theatre!  It has edge.  It spans the full spectrum of musical genres including rock, hip hop, jazz, fusion, and more.  It's for the young, hip, and creative community.

NYMF has carved out a clear place for itself on New York's bustling cultural map.  It's the premier source for new material and future productions, and is attended by the most forward-thinking and entrepreneurial theatrical professionals.  A destination for talent discovery, we've already had a dozen shows garner additional productions, with even more commercial transfers lining up for 2007 and 2008.

Adaptive, innovative thinking has been a key component of NYMF's success.  We bring that same ingenuity to our sponsorships, tailoring them to fit each sponsor's needs and desires, and customizing sponsor integration for maximum impact. 

NYMF Numbers
The Festival has grown consistently - and remarkably - over our three years.  From 2005 to 2006, the Festival grew over 65%, setting a number of attendance records.  The first day of tickets sales set a NYMF record, with more than 4,000 seats purchased, and membership sales increased three-fold to over 500.  The 2006 Festival played to over 90% capacity for more than 300 performances.  88% of our productions announced sold-out performances, and demand for tickets led to extended runs for more than one-third of our shows.

NYMF audience members are a young, trend-setting group.  65% of our audience is aged 35 or younger, and more than 95% live in the five boroughs of New York City.  Their average income is between $75,000 and $100,000. Primarily women and gay men, NYMF attendees are loyal theatergoers and in many cases work in the entertainment industry.
